If people were going to put serious effort in, finishing QL support on VBCC would probably be better. http://sun.hasenbraten.de/vbcc/

Re: Metacomco C Manual
Hi,
I was looking at vbcc, a while back. As there is vasm and vlink, that would produce QDOS output.
So is possible to port vbcc to produce output that can be assembled by vasm?

Thanks for the info, it looks worthwhile enough to have a play with (though wrong time of year now, something for the autumn evenings).tofro wrote: ↑Mon Apr 10, 2023 5:54 pmI used to be a long-time user of MCC. Although it appears the disk and ROM are available, do the apparent bugs in it make it worthwhile versus C68 ?
C68 is an old compiler. Metacomco Lattice C, in comparison is ancient, however. For anybody used to modern C programming, MCC might be (for example with its K&R instead of ANSI function declarations) a bit of a venture back to stone age. But the beast is a honest, reasonably professional compiler that has at least one advantage over C68, it can produce position-independant code, something C68 lacks a bit. And both are way above other compilers for the QL. Other than that, I would always favor C68 over MCC.

"Your browser seems a bit outdated".
It is impossible to visit Mega.nz with latest version of TenFourFox.
Is there any other possibility to obtain Metacomco C manual PDF file?

Hi,
I tried to upload the PDF, which is 2.21Mb but the Forum software thinks it is too large, though there is a message saying a maximum file size of 10Mb
With the kind help of the QL Forum Admin Team, I have been able to upload the PDF.
Here is the Libre Office file:

Mine fortunately not (98 and 99 are different and 142 and 143 are also different).
@Derek: Check your E-Mail (the one where you announced to me the sending of Q68). All 4 pages are different (CLR..., FILENO, STCI..., STCI... or so).

Peter
