International QL keyboard layouts

Post by Peter »

Hello,

some of you may have heard of QLbase, my new little QL motherboard:

It features a Qzero (or Q68) inside a QL case. To access the QL matrix keyboard, QLbase converts it to PS/2 with an Atmega 328P-PU coprocessor. At the moment, just UK and German layouts are supported by the firmware.

It would be very nice to have some good quality pictures from more international QL keyboard layouts, to add more languages. Especially French and Italian would be very welcome. Please post pictures here if you want to help, many thanks!

Peter

Hello Peter.

French looks like this:

Ask me about felt pads - I can cut them to size and they have proved excellent for mdv data recovery.

Italian looks like this:

(all pics are assuming that no one has swapped any keys around during the QL's lifetime - unlikely but I cannot rule it out)

It's actually not that easy getting all the keys to be in focus in images!

Swedish, this is the Beckman version, based on a German QL with hard-wearing stickers on some keys and I think the odd key swap. Not sure if this was the official Swedish version.

Do you need Spanish k/b pics? I can dig that one out.

Here is Finland (wish I hadn't sold that one!). Note that the '6 + up arrow' next to the enter key is not original, that key was missing and it was the closest replacement I could find - it believe it should be a '*' unshifted and a '^' shifted.

No problem, I think Petri can clarify this.
