Hello,
After some years reading the forum I decided to register and see what happens!

At the eightys I was an Speccy child and I wanted I QL but because the short sales time and I was too young to have the neccessary money I never had one. Some years ago I bought my first QL but whithout any Microdrive unit working I was only able to test some Basic programs. Two years ago I bought on QubIDE clone and a Minerva ROM and it had a lot of play with it. I'm also playing with FPGAs but the QL core is/was a bit limitted so before last christmas a bought a new QL motherboard for a spare case I have and starting the year I adquired a Super Gold Card clone.

At the moment I'm checking some distributions and preparing an small recopilation of software for my uses and working in the second QL (new leds, cables, rom, etc.)

Well, we'll be reading us around here.

Hi,

Nice setup, with the Tetroid backplane.

I like the setup menu on the monitor, can you explain more about it,

It's an old version of an unfinished distribution prepared by afx. I think he is in this forum.

In this version only a few games and some applications are working. I'm not sure about the menu, may be the Menu Tool by badaman?

Wow, you started late but have come a long way...nice setup. So were you trying to re-create the QL core in an FPGA (like the Q68)?

Recreated by me... err no. Using the cores in MiST and MiSTer. I have problems with the use of QXL.WIN in the MiST core. The official MiSTer core is going better with the second SD card but lately I'm using Kilgus' one. A bit difficult to find a compatible keyboard but seems very stable and with SGC and 4MB of RAM is a pleasure.

Also very interested in Q68, but I have to wait a bit before order one (you know, high holidays expenses :P )

Welcome TitoUnix !!

Nice QL with the tetroid expansion bus and supergold card / qubide. I was never able to get that setup to work.

Yes, that distribution for the QL (especially for BBQL) is an unfinished job, possibly in the future I will have time to continue.

Regards!

Cool!
(I wish I bought a PCB when it was available.)
