Hello,

I would be really interested in networking my BBQL(SGC) and QemuLator. Is there any chance to get a QLUB adapter?

I know Derek made some in the past, and I wonder if there is any available.

Thank you

Hi,

I have some QLUB adapter to make, I need to make the QL NET connector circuitry and a small case.

I will get these underway.

Hi napsternds!

I have an updated driver almost ready for release for the QLUB.

It works very nicely with both QPC2 and, especially, QEmulator.

I use it regularly to transfer files back and forth between my QLs, Spectrums and PC+QLUB+QL Emulators, using either the normal peer-to-peer method, or, if a QL at the other end, via FSERVE.

The version already released however will get you going as it stands today.

Good luck!

This new driver looks great!!! I'll wait for Derek to have QLUB units ready and grab one. Then I'll wait for the new driver release!!

Thank you

Hi Martyn,

I have been reading your "Networking the QL (part 1)" agwin, very good and well laid out document.

Did you ever do a Part 2...

Hi Derek!

Thanks for the feedback.

Part-2 has been in planning for a couple of years already and is almost all in my head, just yet to get it down in a meaningful way.

Recent feedback has encouraged me to refocus on getting it down on paper.

Stand-by :-)

Hi Martyn,

After reading you "Networking the QL Part 1" , I was interested in the ability to store Spectrum software on a QL server and a QL Spectrum emulator able to access other Spectrum via the QLAN.

With regards, the building new QLUB units, I have 5 Teensy 2++ units and 17 PCBs for the QLAAN interface.

I thought about making the QLAN interface in a wire based circuitry, as with the Q68 QLAN circuitry. But I have these PCBs, so may as w#ell use them.

I just have to get the correct parts and have the case 3D Printed, maybe with a Resin printer, but that will depend on costs of printing.

I will update everyone with my progress.

Yes, I developed an FTP-like solution running on both the QL and Spectrum ends that I use regularly to transfer ZX software/files between the Speccy/MDV and my QL's SD Card via the NW. It's like a fancy version of that ZX BASIC program that appeared in the Interface-1 manual, but running on the QL. It's still a bit 'fragile' as the moment a file can't be read/written at the Spectrum end, the two systems get out of sync and the software needs restarting. But I'm still developing it...

As for communicating between a real Spectrum and a Spectrum emulator running on the QL (if that's what you meant), that I haven't tried...

Hi Martin,

I have been looking at a replacement ZX Interface 1 replacement for the Spectrum at:

https://github.com/ZXQuirkafleeg/ZX-Int ... /README.md

Would this work with QLUB?

I have have some of Marcel's 3D Printed Cases being delivered and have PCBs and Teensy ++2.0 to make 5 units, initially. Mainly one for myself, as I have no other work to do....

Derek
