I think it's probably a Quest unit https://qlwiki.qlforum.co.uk/doku.php?i ... on_console

Yes, with 95% certainty due to those vents at the right front area. I'll save the ebay pics and add them to the wiki once it's working again properly.dilwyn wrote:I think it's probably a Quest unit https://qlwiki.qlforum.co.uk/doku.php?i ... on_console
He lists an 8049 and a GAL but I don't recognise most of those as being QL related, or even QL expansion related.bwinkel67 wrote:Saw this on eBay...I see the 68008, the MC1377 encoder, and maybe the power regulator ic...what are the others or is this seller just jumbling together a bunch of unrelated components.

And god only knows what code is in that 8049 - probably not QL IPC code for sure ! I am guessing you have to design your own ULA's from the programmable logic chips - the GAL to replace the HAL, and you get a 68901 for your trouble - that's actually a nice ic - but not easy to work into the QL's system - although SMSQ/E has some support for this chip. And a dual port RAM chip too - but that looks like it's lived in a bag of surplus components for a long timeChr$ wrote:He lists an 8049 and a GAL but I don't recognise most of those as being QL related, or even QL expansion related.bwinkel67 wrote:Saw this on eBay...I see the 68008, the MC1377 encoder, and maybe the power regulator ic...what are the others or is this seller just jumbling together a bunch of unrelated components.
