Hi,
Before Frisians mercenaries arrived in 'England', following the retreat of the Romans, we all spoke British, (in fact Welsh..)
When Joseph of Arimathea traded Tin in Devon, he would have taught local people the Lord's Prayer.... In Aramean or more likely, Welsh !
And chain-sawing the Glastonbury Thorn did nothing to change that.
It is great to be bi- or multi-lingual...
