SGC Custom Boot Loader

I've been playing with the SGC custom boot loader (https://github.com/SinclairQL/QL-Customboot) but can't get it to custom boot any of the available JS ROM's on a Minerva QL

Scenario 1: Minerva 1.98 QL - I can custom boot JM without a problem, but JS give's me the F1/F2 screen but all the text is garbage and it doesn't respond to F1/F2

Scenario 2: JS QL - I can custom boot JM & Minerva & JS (same JS ROM's that seem corrupt on Minerva QL) without a problem

So for my purposes I've settled on using a JS QL so I can boot all 3 ROM's

But I just wondered, out of interest, if anyone else has tried this and had any problems with the JS ROM's on a Minerva QL using the SGC custom boot loader please?

Which version is your SGC ROM? As mentioned in the README, it was tested with v2.49 which is AFAIK the latest version for both GC and SGC. Older versions may not work, since the code very much depends on the entry point in the (S)GC ROM.

Also, be sure that your QL ROM image is exactly 49152 bytes in size.

The SGC is v2.49

And the JS ROMs I tried are 49152 bytes (downloaded from Dilwyns ROM page)

The same ROM images work fine if QL is fitted with JS ROMs (EDIT: I'm assuming it would still load the image even if the QL is already fitted with JS. I also custom booted Real JS->Minerva Image->JS Image sequence ok)

I've just fitted a Minerva ROM in the QL I'm replacing the MC1489 in, so will give it another try when that machine is up and running again to see if I can reproduce what I saw on my main QL (Schoen keyboard ribbons are fragile so don't want to open that one again until I'm ready to fit new ribbons)
