Fast Plot/Draw toolkit / viepoint manual/ PD3 Manual

Post by Andrew »

Does anyone have Fast Plot/Draw toolkit and can send it to me?
Fast Plot/Draw toollkit is freeware and it is covered in BASIC/SuperBASIC Reference Manual Online, but it is missing from Dilwyn's site
It is also missing from BASIC/SuperBASIC Reference Manual toolkits that was released by DIlwyn (last updated after 2000)

I am also looking for Viewpoint manual and Page Designer 3 manual (I have the software, but no manuals)

If anyone knows who wrote or published the Fast Plot/Draw toolkit, I might be able to find it.

I've had a look at the PDtools1 and 2 disks RWAP released with the Reference Guide. It's not on those (unless under another name which I couldn't match). That implies it might go back to pre-RWAP days. As the original manual's author was from Germany, it might be in an old German PD library or German magazine disk, for example.

Hi,

Volume G of Simon Goodwins DIY toolkit has PLOT and DRAW described as fast, along with an example and a Quill doc guide.
Could this be what you are looking for? I expect that Dilwyn Jones will have this on his website.

Cheers

No, that is not it. The DIY Plot and Draw have the same names, but different parameters and implementation.
Fast PLOT/DRAW Toolkit enables all QL graphic commands to draw on a screen stored in memory as well as the currently visible screen and it is compatible with Minerva’s dual screen mode. Plus adding fast Plot and Draw commands in pixel coordinates.
As described in BASIC/SuperBASIC Reference Manual Online:

Fast PLOT/DRAW Toolkit
The commands in this toolkit are:
DRAW
PLOT
REFRESH
SCLR
SCRBASE

Hi Andrei,
I'm not sure if I've found the right file, one of the code files in this seems to have the extension names listed. It has no text file, so I am not sure what this does! I'll leave this here for you to examine to see if it's what you were looking for.

I found this by looking through the QL PD-CDR (Gerard Plavec) with my File Finder searching for the extension names within files on the CD. Please let me know if this is the right toolkit!

If it's the right toolkit, I might be able to add it to my website and use the information in the SB Ref Guide to make a short doc about it.
