Glad that at least someone has/sees the same/similar problem with this core.

On my MIST, in can isolate the symptom: This core only starts well and runs stable and hourly long, when my MIST was switched off for a longer time (a long night) and when I then power on the MIST with an SD card which has this core as core.rbf. I have made a video and blog entry:

Do you have coolant spray? You could try to bring the FPGA to a lower temperature and see if it starts even after being warmed up before.
If it works in a cooled condition, you probably have an FPGA timing problems.
