Hi Derek!

Interesting Int-1 replacement project (albeit, still in progress.)

In principle, if the replacement project implements the standard Sinclair NET port and timings as well (it doesn't seem obvious from the Github page), there is no reason why it would not work with the QLUB, which fully implements the Sinclair NET at both the HW and SW/protocol level.

I'll watch that project with interest - thanks for pointing it out!

Moreover, there is ZX Spectrum with 528 KiO RAM, with Interface 1 (including NET, serial and connector for Microdrive) built-in.
And running CP/M from Microdrive :)

There is also the ZxInterfae1-bis that supports a wifi module:

This is a more mature project - I think you can still get them.

Hi,

The LEC Spectrum R2 has no construction files, they are still refining the hardware. But would be interested if the Gerber files were made available.

With regards to the Interface1 bis, I can not see a Network port on it.

Still quite expensive, but then again ZX Interface 1 units are expensive, I might just fix the two I have.

The network is a wifi module that is optional extra on some of the pins on the top - the idea is you run a server on another PC - then access files on this or on the web through that, and it uses the same basic syntax as the original Interface1

And IF1bis really works nice. In my opinion, it used to be the most compatible thing to the IF1 before the things that are evolving right now - I have one and it really works very well, both with the SD card and the Wifi connection to the PC server.

Well, you don't. At least not directly. What you can do is run a QL network server and an IF1Bis server on the same machine and let them share the same file system.

Now that's a cracking idea! :-)

Hi,

You correct great idea, but I am more interested in QLAN connection to QLUB.

Can you start a separate message thread for this...

Derek
