It is a personal movie project I have been working on, part time, for many years. A year ago, seeing that it was taking way too long and still no actual footage, I decided to take a one year leave of absence and finish it. I hired some actors, but no crew, as I am doing everything myself (sets, sound, camera, direction)

The feature length movie is shot on 16mm film. The idea is to have NO computer generated effect, every special effect is done in camera using front projection technic. All ships are scaled model. Some other pictures are included.

You have very good eyes, in fact, when I started building sets years ago, the idea was to use all my vintage computer collection as imbedded computers. Here's a partial list:

HP-9816
HP-87
HP-9845 (2X)
Amiga 500
Amiga 1200
SGC QL
Q68
Mac SE
NeXT Station

And a few modern Macs and IPADs

As I said, this is a personal project. It is not intended to be screened anywhere. But... you asked where I was doing my QLing....

Regards,

That looks amazing! I love building and painting models, and I love old films with proper effects!

NO computer generated effect
On the other hand, 8-bit computer effects and animations are amazing.

There is 1981 amateur movie Asteroid!, where Apple II was used for computer effects, titles and animation.
Part 1
Part 2

Compilation of animation only is HERE.

That looks fantastic, Francois! And thanks for the information.

Good luck and I hope you finish it to your satisfaction.

Cheers,
Norm.
