Found amongst some other stuff I am currently cleaning, its a keyboard interface I think, anyone know the company or what it actually does. I am particularly interested in the switches and what they do

If it came with a manual, I'd be interested in getting hold of a copy to OCR as a replacement manual, I don't think this JFC keyboard interface manual is in my collection.
HArdware-wise this is a very interesting interface. In theory it could just as well manage emulation of any keyboard with an 8x8 key matrix. It uses a MPU to interpret the key-presses of an XT/AT keyboard and writes it into an 8x8 dual-port memory, made out of TTL chips. The memory implements an 8x8 crosspoint matrix that directly emulates the keyboard, so in essence it can emulate any combination of keys pressed, including all theoretical 64
