ROMDISQ WANTED
Re: ROMDISQ WANTED
Wow, I wish I had one to sell for that much. However, there is an SD equivalent, QL-SD, that plugs in internally and I think uses the ROM interface. It may not quite do all the things as the ROMDISQ.

The developer shared in March that he had been working on a QL-SD ROM version. You might want to contact him to see where it is in development. Offer him $500 and he might get it done faster

Hi,lowrybt wrote:Willing to pay $500 USD
I have a Romdisq that is not working, I will send it to Tony Firshman for repair and contact you when I have received it back.
I think $500 USD is too much.
Regards,
Derek

I didn't know Tony was still doing repairs?
Why do they put lightning conductors on churches?

Yeah, for 500$ you can definitely get one of my prototypes or I solder you another internal one

Re: ROMDISQ WANTED
That's interesting from a QL collector's point of view. Do you want an original, simply as a collector's item to keep, or is it to actually use? They do seem hard to find, I'd like one too if one ever comes my way.lowrybt wrote:Willing to pay $500 USD

Collector of QL related computers, accessories and QL games/software.
Ask me about felt pads - I can cut them to size and they have proved excellent for mdv data recovery.

Re: ROMDISQ WANTED
Yeah, that was mainly due to the two SD slots and I found it too big for my taste, too. So my new variant can host one SD or two MicroSD. But I'm still tinkering with the design.bwinkel67 wrote:Oh cool, this one has a smaller footprint...mk79 wrote:Yeah, for 500$ you can definitely get one of my prototypes or I solder you another internal one

Re: ROMDISQ WANTED
Two microSD's might work. All the SD cards I have just seem to be the converters that house the microSD. Maybe post a forum topic to see which is the more desirable. Other than the QL I don't use them as much so I don't know if the industry is going predominately microSD now.mk79 wrote:Yeah, that was mainly due to the two SD slots and I found it too big for my taste, too.
