It's not the first QL hardware to program its own flash, but it will be the first released hardware, yes.

If I remember correctly, the 768K Trumpcard (and clones) compromises the use of ROM port, or am I wrong?

IIRC the Trump card only monitors a (first) access to the ROM port by the CPU to page in its extension ROM at $C0000 (note: not $C000) so the QL finds it after linking in the ROM in the ROM port, after which it is relocated to the $10000-$17FFF range and paged out again from $C0000.Cristian wrote:Sensational! The Miracle hard disk used the ROM port too and did (of course) work in conjunction with the Trump card (it even had a through-connector for extension ROMs).

Though I can't think of a use case where someone would use a QL-SD and want a Miracle hard drive.
