great & thanks for sharing... especially the feet are usually missing.

a standard ROM dongle case (like the CARE and TK2 ones) would help and expansion sleeves that could be extruded to the right length would be another welcome addition.

I was wondering the same thing :) reminds me that actually the Speccy had a really nice power button add-on advertised back in the day that was essentially a switch that plugged directly into the power connector and a socket to take the power lead, all in a small case - very well done. Simple, but it was genuinely helpful

My QL (and Spectrum, and nearly everything else that doesn't have its own switch) power button:

I've not seen the need for microdrive cartridge covers - I have 100s spare here.....

I have a resin 3D printer that does exceptionally high quality prints. They are practically production quality. The catch? It's slow, messy, smells horrible and the failure rate for prints is quite high. Over 50%.

The covers I did would match very well with the QL case, once painted with Krylon semi-gloss black. Gloss black was too shiny, and the eggshell finish was too flat. If the different finishes aren't easy to get hold of, gloss black then a semi-gloss lacquer gives almost the same effect and is a little more hard-wearing too.

I made one of the prototype covers from Rick Dickinson's sketches and it looked amazing. Almost better than the item in the photographs. Unfortunately, I made it from a resin that was quite brittle, and I broke it. I'm using a tougher resin now. I should have a go at printing it again.

So yes, there's LOTS of fun to be had with 3D printing QL parts. :)
