Hello from London

Post by qwitch »

Hi all,

Just joined the ranks of QL owners, picked up a like new one form ebay. Apparently was an unwanted gift in the 80's and had never been used, I can well believe it because it is in immaculate condition.

Managed to get it up and running with a bit of messing around, will have to find a more suitable TV/Monitor but was very pleased it worked at all. Came with the original software which all worked and an additional 4 blank unformated microdrive cartridges. Will need to re-felt them before I use them properly. Only thing missing was the manual, but I've managed to pick one of those up on ebay also.

I'm sure I will have plenty of questions along the way.

Regards
Andy

Hi Andy,

Welcome.

For missing manuals you could have found a pdf on Dilwyn's web site, the home of the Sinclair QL Homepage. The manual is at http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/docs/ebooks/olqlug/index.htm and the whole wrbsite is at http://www.dilwyn.me.uk.

Have fun.

Cheers,
Norm.

Hi Andy,

Rick at RWAP Software sells RGB to SCART leads for the QL. Look in www.sellmyretro.com and search for the lead.
