I got a digital version this book.

It seems to be freely downloadable
Where?

I would LOVE a searchable copy - it's become an invaluable reference.

Hi Dave,

The ebook is in djvu format, so not searchable.

But if you give me some time, I can convert it to a searchable pdf file

The other day I received this very lovable contemporary case-modded ZX81! It's looks very important, like it wouldn't have been out of place in a serious industrial setting, with a proper keyboard (by Klaus Jeschke in Germany according to its PCB) and as a bonus, it must have been used for some proper ZX81ing as it also includes a dk'Tronics 'Llama' 4k Graphics ROM board, which enables the use of hundreds more characters and other fun things, rather like the 1980s version of smilies :D :D ;) ;) :( :ugeek:  .

It's an issue one board with the chips and modulator dated weeks 30-36 in 1981. As you can see, the original tape/power/TV sockets are extended in the case and built in to the side. There is also a neat hole at the back for the usual Sinclair expansions.

It even seems to work. With the original TV output I was able to make out the 'K' and all the keys seemed to result in fuzzy characters appearing on the screen. Video mod to be done ASAP, as there's plenty of room for one inside.

Ask me about felt pads - I can cut them to size and they have proved excellent for mdv data recovery.

Congrats, Norman.

Not on QL topics, but rather something more modern, I suppose?
