Hi to all there.

Me and my friend Max that are preserving QL STUFF we are dumping ZX81 tapes.

I've many MIA's.

How is the best way for create a .P / .TZX files from a Wav?

We see that is very difficult and not so easy as Speccy stuff.

We need to correct many points on the WAV file (on 16k titles more than 100!!!) and is very HARD to do!

There is a simple way?

How can we work on it'

We need to preserve MANY ZX81 "MIA" that I have in original format.

Please help us.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.

I use the TapeScrape program from SirMorris with his ZXPand on a real Zeddy. It dumps the whole tape to individual files on the SD.

Hi Paul,

Once the ZX81 tapes have been dumped to a file, can a ZX81 emulator load the tape image?

No image is created. On the SD Card you find individual ".P" files prefixed by a number.
Those files can be easily read by emulators.
Once you know the content you should rename the files of course.

Yes - once the .p files are created using the tape scaper, you can copy them from the SD card to a PC, rename them as necessary and then load them in an emulator :)

As for the original question - a quick search on the ZX81 forums gives:
