Howdy,

I guess I didn't say (out-right) that my QXL is installed in a machine, so I'm good.

My main "problem" was that some time ago I managed to lose the install disk
but I had compensated by keeping a copy of the software on several backup
drives - and all is still well with my setup - everything works, and the QXL
is running fine and dandy ... a gentle read thru the text manual I dug up
helped me troubleshoot a "can't get the unit working" message.

All is well with my QXL and all functions are nominal ! :)

I will keep my hopes on stand-by and wait until my funds pile up, and I hear
news about any Q60s going into production.

Meanwhile, the QXL is such a great piece of equipment to play with.

Makes the PC it's in far more useful as a general computing platform,
that's powered by a nice powerful CPU, to this day.

I'm quite happy with it.

I am looking for a programmer that can programme the Altera Glue chip in the QXL. If I can get this chip programmed then there will be 8 QXL cards with 68040 with FPU for sale.

I will keep you posted.
Hi Derek, did you have any luck with this?
Is there still a chance for the QXL cards?

Hi,

I have 8 QXL Cards, which I had someone with the Altera hardware, programme an Altera Chip for each.

I have assembled 3 x QXL cards, one was shown at Edinburgh in a 486 PC, running very well.

I have to sort out a software disk with SMSQ + SMSQ/E and a support disk.

I will post these for sale on Sellmyretro and cross posted here.

Regards,

Derek
