Hello from Berkshire...

Post by Pr0f »

Ex owner, came across the forum in my searches online for all things QL. I had 3 of these, before selling up. But I have a love of old hardware designs and making my own little mods to them.

Currently have several projects on the go - a P112 z80 based system on the build, in an old media server case that used to house a sawn off QL motherboard. That migrated to an Amstrad PC case with an Mplane, SGC, Qubide, SuperHermes, Minerva and Aurora combination with a 3.2Mb Floppy and a 320Mb hard disk.

I've also got back into the Z88 - and currently working on modding a couple of these up to 512Mb Flash and 512Mb RAM internally.

But in my hunt through my parts bin I found my old QL case - hollow, just crying out for a new inside. EBay lured me into buying a 4Mb 68008 in the PLCC package - so I fancy making a new board for it to sit on....

Anyway, lots has happened in the QL scene since last I looked.... ;)

Welcome.

Sounds like you are well into hardware then. You'll enjoy it here as we have quite a few hardware buffs around, including another called Dave. ;)

Cheers,
Norm.
