Hi folks,
I'm returning to the QL after a break of ~30 years.
Shame it never took off because QDOS (for all it's bugs) had some pretty revolutionary features.
Cheers!
Matthew

Re: Back to the future
Welcome back Matthew - many of us were involved with the QL in the 80s and the community is still going strong - QDOS went on to be morphed into other things - Minerva and SMSQ/e (replacement QL operating systems), and SMS2 (can't remember what that was sold for).
SMSQ/e continues to be developed today

Welcome. Haven't been here long myself but it's a wealth of information and friendly QL enthusiasts, some of whom I've bumped into in other places.

Re: Back to the future
Welcome back Wrangler, I too am a returner after some 20 odd years and find the QL above all other retro machines the most frustrating and the most fun.

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb
Looking forward to summer in Somerset later in the year
QL, Falcon, Atari 520STFM, Atari 1040STE, more PC's than I care to count and an assortment of 8 bit micros (Sinclair and Acorn)(nearly forgot the Psion's)
