French QL Wanted

Post by grafvonb »

I looking for a French version (French MGF ROM and keyboard) of the QL in "working" condition but it does not mean it must be perfect (the keyboard membrane may be corrupt and the MDVs may have some "problems" when reading or writing microdrives). It would be great also to get the QL boxed with the french QL User Guide etc. but it is no a must. Pls send me a PM if you have any to sell together with your price expectation. Thx.

That's a UK QL that has emigrated to France ;). It has the English QWERTY keyboard and the 'not found' and other messages from the ROM in English. French QLs have the French AZERTY keyboard etc.

A question that seems to fit here: Has anyone seem the French version of the QL Handbook? I can't seem to find a digital version online. I assume there was one in French supplied with the French models. Anyone got one?

Sorry, another one of those cases where I didn't look hard enough! The text indicates that it might not be complete, but as far as I can tell it has all the usual Intro, beginners, Keywords, concepts and then the 4 Psion sections. Is is all there now?

Incidentally, a scan of the German manual is available here (156mb from Urs): http://www.sinclairql.net/downloads/198 ... h-SQPP.pdf

I think it is all there now. Olivier sent me the sections bit by bit. I may have forgotten to remove that intro -I'll check tonight.

One day, I'll get around to putting all the documents in one place. Currently they're spread around in Replacement Manuals, eBooks and do on.

Thanks for link to the German one, I'll see if i can add that tonight.

Allow me to volunteer for the checking of the OCR'd Arcive, Abacus and Easel parts (in English!) that you haven't put up yet.
