Selling a Sinclaire ql

Post by Sebastian »

Hi All,

I have found in my Grandmothers attic a QL Sinclair that is in an original box along with all original manual and micro drives etc. Also I have a Microvetic Cub monitor in black, which I believe my uncle used them together in the 80’s.

Having connected everything up the Sinclair boots to the F1/F2 screen where you input TV or monitor. Unfortunately I do not get any further as the keys are not working. Both the QL and the monitor look as new.

I have joined the forum as I thought it better to offer these items to enthusiasts rather than put them on eBay straightaway. I am not sure what they are worth so do not want to set a price. If anybody is interested please PM me. The items are in Southern Ireland but I will post to UK or Europe at cost price if required and of course will split if anybody is just looking for the QL or monitor on it’s own.

If you keep your QL, the part it needs is a replacement keyboard membrane. These are available from RWAP Services, and are simple to install. That should get you on the road.

If you do find a buyer, congrats. I would, but I am in the US so shipping would be crazy expensive.

That's okay :)

If you are still looking for a QL, you can't go wrong with RWAP. They have a lot of QL stock, and if you buy a machine from there you can be sure it will have been carefully serviced and tested before shipping to you. They also get rare and hard-to-find accessories more often than anyone else.
