Best programming books?

Anything QL Software or Programming Related.

Great, is it more or less this detailed for every command?

and has it been independently reviewed at any point in time?

Yup, two reams of paper left a sagging top shelf on my QL bookshelf := :x

Although I still have the paper copy, personally I found the CD easier, what with 1000+ pages it was far easier to search the PDF files. It wasn't just "what does this keyword do" there were loads of programming examples scattered throughout the book too. Worth every penny as far as I was concerned. Plus it came with a couple of disks with various utilities and toolkits.

If you count me as independent, yes. QL Toady, Vol 16 Issue 2 page 41. CD version of the book. Less likely to hurt my back with the CD than 1,000 A4 pages of paper.

Yes it is more or less this detailed for every command - although some commands don't need much explanation :)
