BlackKnight works perfectly under QDOS+PE, and it previously worked on QPC2v5.0 or older, I do not remember exactly, but on QPC2 v5.02 SMSQ/E 3.38 the game starts and as soon as it displays the chess board it closes.
Is there anything I could to have it working again?

Re: BlackKnight chess
I will install QPC 5.02 and check if I can reproduce the problem.
I will let you know.

Re: BlackKnight chess
Happens for me with any QPC2 version. But it works once I configure the hash table to some value (I chose -2048).

How you configure the hash table?mk79 wrote:Happens for me with any QPC2 version. But it works once I configure the hash table to some value (I chose -2048).

By using the normal config utilities “config” or “menu config” on the file: blackknight_ptrAndrew wrote:How you configure the hash table?mk79 wrote:Happens for me with any QPC2 version. But it works once I configure the hash table to some value (I chose -2048).
For the hash table, choices are (in kiloBytes)
Positive value : memory left free for QDOS
Negative value : memory taken by hash table
0 : take as much memory as possible
For some reason, the complet description is not shown with menuconfig but is displayed in its entirety with “config”
Also, make sure you have configure the BlackKnight directory so the program can find its other files during startup
