https://github.com/SinclairQL/qltools or https://github.com/NormanDunbar/qltools are where you should be getting the source from. The current version is 2.15.6 and writes dd/hd/ed images at full size as opposed to 2.15.5 which only wrote as much as was needed. Hopefully you have 2.15.6?

You did email me, yes. I have replied. I'm not able to help, sorry.

Does anyone here have the ability to build qltools for OSx please?

Cheers,
Norm.

Hi,

I clone the Git Hub file and compiled it under Linux Mint 19.3, compiled first time, and works really well.

I tried creating Floppy Disk images of varying densities: DD,HD, ED which all are usuable on all emulators: QPC2, SMSQmualtor, Q-emulator and Q68 with FDI.

I have not tried the FLP images on a Trump case, but I report back later on this.

Great software again Norm.

Regards,

Derek

Nothing to do with me Derek! I only modified it to cope with ED disc images, and changed lots of globals and variable names to try to make the code a bit more readable. As they say, "I stand on the shoulders of giants".

Cheers,
Norm.

Could someone send me a formatted 1.44 formatted img please? I tried using the QLtools.exe from Github, but I think its still the old version and only makes 18k images. I'm not a Unix person, so seems a bit extreme to try and go down that rabbit hole to make one disk image :?

I did try formatting a plain 1.44m img I found but that fails, the 720k are fine.

I'm doing this on a Thor, so its slightly different Gotek settings (its a 26 pin connector so doesn't use the pin 2 and pin 34 settings), but am I wrong in thinking if I don't use a IMG.CFG and just use a FF.CFG the Gotek will read/write SD/HD on the same USB ? Or do I need to keep 720k and 1.44k on different usb's ?
