No, it's not - It's just a copy of the mdv contents. And "cached" implies more than "copy" - actually, "copy" is the only thing that happens.

If you write to the microdrive, you do exactly that. If you write to the ram disk, well, that happens. There's no fancy caching/shadow/copy/permanent relationship between mdv and ram disk contents.
