Hi Bill!
Yes, the SGC comes with a modern RAM disk driver in the on-board ROM.

Hi Martyn!
Are the drivers installed automatically? How do I access the RAM drive?
Cheers!
Bill

The drivers are an integral part of the Trump Card, Gold Card and Super Gold Card.
These are dynamic ram disks - so not a fixed size - they will expand to allow your biggest files (assuming there is enough memory)
You simply use RAM instead of MDV or FLP, so DIR ram1_ will give a directory. LOAD ram8_test_bas will load test_bas from ram disk 8
One of the most used commands I use is FORMAT ram1_mdv2
this makes a sector by sector image of mdv2_ within ram1_ .
It is very quick and any damaged files have an asterisk appended to the filename.

Thanks Rich!
I will try it when my SGC arrives. I think my QL will arrive tomorrow!

Hi Bill,
you want you look at Dilwyn's web site and review the documentation for the Super Gold card.
I did not get any documentation with my Tetroid Super Gold Card. But the old Miracle Systems :
http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/docs/manuals/sgc.zip
Please refer to the Trump Card manual for details of the Ram Disk uasage:
http://www.dilwyn.me.uk/docs/manuals/Mi ... 20Card.pdf
The Ram Disk is set up as dynamic, as Rich said, use the RAM device to access the ram disk, i.e. DIR RAM1_
Note there is not a parallel port on the Tetroid SGC.
You also need to look at the Toolkit 2 commands added with the SGC:
