Added StarMouse page.

Post by Chr$ »

Is this ok Norman (it's my first entirely new page - I've also linked to it from the list of hardware page):

By the way, is there anything built into the Wiki that can check for and flag dead html links?

Hi Chris,

that's perfect - I assume you were intercepted by the "template" which pops up when a new page is being added. Images should be put in a namespace, but they are relatively easy to shift about, without breaking any links, afterwards if necessary.

I'm not sure if there is a utility, there may well be a plugin, but we don;t have one installed at the moment. It could be a worthwhile addin though, I'll have a look later.

Cheers,
Norm.

Since the StarMouse hooks to the ctrl port does it just return rapid arrow keys? If so, how well does that work? I know with ICE, arrow keys actually did work and the Radio Shack mouse I created kind of used that, though not very well. Have you tried it outside of the provided applications?

On a somewhat related note, the mouse that came with ICE (MICE) purely connected on the ROM pack (StarMouse seems to just use it for power). Anyone know if that was usable outside of ICE or did it only integrate with ICE and no other software could use it?

Probably best to address StarMouse related queries in this topic:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3061&hilit=starmouse

I can remember that it had to go into CTRL2 so that would be the function keys for directions etc. It also only works on a 128K QL. And pretty sure that it only works with the supplied software.
