Merlin Tonto Cartridges

Post by Chr$ »

I nabbed these just now:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114849674216

The BT Merlin Tonto branded box must be rare, so will be a nice original addition to my Merlin Tonto assortment. I am rather hoping that the 20 cartridges have Tonto/OPD stuff on them that I can check out and rescue. I will report back here with findings.

Ask me about felt pads - I can cut them to size and they have proved excellent for mdv data recovery.

Cherry on the cake. Main reason for bidding!

They're in the post to me.

Oh well, pretty boring in the end.

The cream Transform BT branded box is a peach, like that.

Of the carts - 3 were jammed/unreadable. Looks like it was just a random lot that someone threw together. Most contain Spectrum stuff. 5 were BT Merlin Tonto format carts and they all contain .aba files (no underscore in OPD file names). The files are from 1988 and are manager report spreadsheets that contain a lot of acronyms and figures. There are a couple of manager names and some of the headings involve 'exchanges', so perhaps they used to belong to BT.
