QL suitable mouse

Post by tcat »

Hi All,

I am seeking a piece of advice, as to which type of mouse can be easily connected to the QL.
Serial mice are hard to get these days.
I have found this mouse, please see picture, I hope is serial type, rather than PS2. Also read Simon Goodwin's DYI article on serial driver for the QL. My idea is to connect this mouse, once fitted with appropriate plug to SER1 and use serial driver.

Would this be the right mouse type?

Many thanks in advance.

TCAT,
I used to have the very same one ~20 years ago. Even with that fancy wall-holder that is, I guess, still nailed to the wall in my old office ;)

Yes, that is most probably a serial mouse.
I'd check the button switches - Those used to die a lot.

Regards
Tobias
