Another Minerva Manual

Post by QViewStu »

Hey Minervans

Whilst rummaging around some old data drives, Jonathan came across this PDF of the Minerva guide which you might find interesting. Spot the difference ?

Yes, that's right, the Minerva logo is a character all of its own. I have no idea why we did this, just because we could.

We also found an original order form from our Papworth launch. I had forgotten completely of our "requirement" that you send proof of QL ownership by including a ROM dump....

Why did you need a rom image to get a rom replacement?

You didn't. It was our "played a lawyer on TV once" advice to provide Minerva only to existing QL owners. Much like running MacOS on non Apple hardware.

I don't believe I actually checked the ROM image that got supplied. Ooops did I say that out loud ?

After a while, we dropped that requirement as did TF.

It's all just part of the historical time line ;-)
