Using a European QL in the US

Post by M68008 »

If a non-US QL is used in the US (with a transformer or different power supply, but at 60 Hz AC rather than 50 Hz AC):
1) would it work fine? (I guess it would)
2) would interrupts be at 50 or 60 Hz?
3) would PAL TV output continue to work?
4) would monitor RGB output continue to work?

Thanks,

Daniele

It would have EU 50 Hz interrupts, and the RGB output would work. The PAL output would not be understood by old CRTs, but modern LCDs may understand the standard.

All it needs is a US PSU - the QL will work with either PSU without modification.
