Oh wow, yes please! I've been the main maintainer of the PE after Tony left, nudging it into the exciting world of 65536 colours, alpha blending and windows that still refresh in the background :-D And I've read your name sooooo often in the source code :-)

Still going strong, yes. He even resuscitated his mailbox QL recently for me to look for the Hermes source codes, but alas no luck. They seem to be confined to Lau's vault.

Same guy, soooo... maybe? As long as the vault remains closed it could contain the original bible scrolls for all it matters, we still don't get them ;)

Only if you separate the outgoing pins from the Eprom pins like Chr$ did here https://www.ebay.de/itm/203613323341... and that only works if you have enough space, for QL-SD for example it wasn't an option.

you can use those right angle pin headers on the underside, and surface solder the socket on the top of the board or displace it
