QL A/D_1 - Scanner

Post by FrancoisLanciault »

Hi,

I have a QL A/D_1 Scanner (AKA JFC Scanner) made by Jürgen Falkenberg. I don't have the cable with the scanner head, just the A/D_1 interface. This is fine by me as I want to use the interface as a analog/digital interface only and all instructions to do so are included in the manual (that I have).

The only thing missing is the driver. Does anybody has a copy of the software that comes with this scanner ? Without the software, the hardware is kind of useless...

Alternately, is there a way to reach Jürgen Falkenberg ?

Thank you,

François

Hi Francois,

Did you manage to get a copy of the Falkenberg scanner software?

No succes so far. It looks like I am the only one alive with a QL scanner hardware...

François

P.S. I sent you a mail through your web site a couple of weeks ago about Paragraph v2 now in the public domain. Did you received it ?

Oops, I seem to remember, but can't find the email.

IIRC, I was looking for the latest version of Paragraph 2 I had to put it on m website.

It's been such a busy time recently I have forgotten a lot of things unless I do them immediately.

Can you resend the message to dilwyn AT evans1511 DOT fsnet DOT co DOT uk

I have dug out my last copy of Paragraph, it was version 2.03. Is this the most recent?

I may be able to help ;)

I have recently recieved a large selection of QL bits and pieces.

In one plastic bag I have the scanner interface, cable and scanner head
as well as some software on floppy.

I will have a look tonight and get back to you. Hopefully this might be
able to help..

Regards

Ooh - another large bundle of QL goodies from down south....

Can you see if there is any of the long list of missing software titles in that bundle, so we can try to preserve it? (Might be just easier to email me a list as I keep finding new titles every day!)

Indeed, I obtained a complete QL setup, monitor, printer, floppys etc.

Got lots of software and magazines to work through,so as soon
as I have a list I will let you know. :)

OK, I do have this scanner! :D

I have the interface, a set of probe leads ( i am assuming for other A/D projects),
a scanner head and a disk that is labelled as QL Scan.

So far I have been unable to find any instructions!

I have not checked the disk but will do so this week, hopefully it will be
readable as this QL collection was picked up from a house clearance and
contains 3-4 boxes of paperwork, disks and hardware.

Will keep you posted.

Russ
