Mine arrived, and it came as a bare board with no instructions, pinouts, anything... Hrmmm.

Mine came the same way, it's fairly simple to setup and use, if you need any help, just let me know!

http://www.jammaboards.com/faq/article/ ... up-13.html

Bit of a guide there and also a PDF manual on their website. I also did a wiring guide in Quanta a while back.

I have got the GBS-8220 board but I have the same sync problems discussed above.
After some investigations, I have discovered that this board is unable to manage the PAL standard video signal with 50Hz vertical sync but only the NTSC 60Hz vertical sync.
The board seems to work properly only with some QLs, maybe because of tolerances of some components on the board or on the QL.
The only way to get this board working with the QL is probably to adjust (increase) the vertical frequency sync output of the QL to the NTSC standard.
Does anyone know how to adjust the vertical sync frequency or how to modify a QL to the NTSC standard ?
Ciao, Gianni

I never modified any of my QLs(all pal) and didn't have any trouble. Which inputs are you using?

Just to add I did have to move one of the wires across on the white plug provided.

I am using the white plug provided, I also did all the mods suggested above.
Unfortunately this board seems to be NTSC only, as confirmed by the vendor.
Maybe your board has (luckily) some tolerances on the vertical sync input and is able to lock the PAL video signal.

Odd I use mine successfully with Spectrum +3, +2A, Amstrad CPC, QL, Sam Coupe. All PAL machines (well PALish as in any retros).
