The Raspberry PI 400 keyboard I was looking at as a replacement platform for my existing desktop PC but it didn’t quite make the grade.
Now a Raspberry PI 500 with clock speed of say 4GHz 8GB of RAM and a black keyboard might just be the ticket.

QPC2 works fine on Raspberry pi 400 and model 3B+. There are 3 steps
1. Install the excelent application Pi apps
https://github.com/Botspot/pi-apps
2. From Pi apps easily you install Box86 and wine
3. Using wine install qpc2

Wow. But probably not very fast?

OK. Then good thing I left the old screen-driver in for scenarios like these, I don't think the new one works under Wine.

I'm running QPC 5.xx under Wine on Linux. Are you saying that it shouldn't be working?

Cheers,
Norm.

No, I'm saying that I left the old screen driver ("DirectDraw") in mainly for Wine to work. Or does the DirectX based screen driver work under Wine, too?

To be honest, I have no idea! I better check. Puppy allowing of course.

Cheers,
Norm.

Right then, the pup is asleep! I've sneaked off to do some testing.

My Wine config is:

Version: 5.00-3ubuntu1.

My QPC configuration is:

Version: 5.00
Memory: 32 MB
Colour: High Colour (mode 32)
Resolution: 800x600 (and also, "max") I use both
Window: 1x
Keep Aspect Ratio: ticked.

Both display drivers work perfectly in the above config. I tried both at 800x600 and max (1440x900) but only at 1x magnification. No problems. This is on a 64 bit Linux (Linux Mint 20.1 Ulyssa) on an old Dell Vostro 1720 dual core laptop with 8 GB RAM fully maxed out.

Cheers,
Norm.

Wow, that is quite an impressive feat from Wine then. Do the drivers behave differently when you maximize the window (i.e. have more than 1x magnification)? That was the reason for creating it in the first place, zoom behaviour on current Windows systems is very poor with the DirectDraw driver. No hurry if pup has awakened in the meantime
