That would be had, as I did not keep a log of the changes.

Do not worry, if there is a negative reaction to my release of Copyright, I might issue to book to people that have a copy of the book. This still breaks Copyright, but this would be a negotiated option with Adder Technology.

Hi,

I have an initial contact with Adder Technology, by Adrian Dicken's Assistant, how indicated hecwas on holiday, in August, but no response since then, though I am on their mailing list for they services they provide.

I am not very impressed by the way Adder Technology are conducting, not very professional.

So where does this leave the updated digital version of the Advanced QL User Guide? Still under copyright. Though there has be many mistakes corrected and clearer deinitions made.

Maybe I should change the title, and issue it as another book...

Adder's Global HQ is in Bar Hill (commuter village for Cambridge, UK).

I see the Leicester office (Registered address for Adder) is just the Accountant's offices (from Google Maps)

From the Companies House filings, I can see that the Adder Publications to Adder Technology is the same company - just changed their name in 1994. Also, there are two directors - Adrian and (I'm assuming) his younger brother Nigel.

Hmm, I think I've got Adrian's residential address - will PM that to Derek.

Hi,

Thanks for the PM and info. I really do not want hassle Adrian at home.

I try prompting his assistant to try and loom at this issue of copyright.

Hi

After some nice comments in the QL Assembler Magazine concerning the Advanced QL User Guide

I have had no response from Adrian Dickens with regards to publication of his copyright book.

The book has had many corrections to the original, which had a lot of problems.

I will attempt another communication with Adrian Dickens, who handles these issues personally.

Derek

Thanks are due to you too, Norm, for your e-zine! And for dispelling any lingering doubts about the myth that A1 is an active stack pointer! That myth has haunted the years of innocence and stout hearts of many of us who ventured to wrestle with the arcane mysteries of Qdos programming! Lead astray as we were by some who should have known better..
