I cut them all out manually but am careful to keep them consistent in size and the material seems to be good at least in the medium term so far (I've been using it for about 2 years). I've rescued a few lost things from mdvs, e.g. The Little Space Man and the Elaborate Bytes toolkit, plus a lot of my original mdv collection.
Don't all buy at once though, as it's fiddly cutting them out and some days it's all I seem to do
