Forum with infos about online auctions

Postby grafvonb » Wed Jul 01, 2020 7:41 am

On the given occasion (https://www.ebay.com/itm/Boxed-Sinclair ... SwyyZe-jHg) I'd like to ask if we need (can have) an independent forum with infos about online auctions?
We all are looking for some collector items or just watch the trends in the web. Personally I was sometimes sad I had overseen some occasions.

What do you think about this idea (or maybe you want to keep the information for yourself only )?

That one was already shared (the the 700 Euros for a BBQL topic).

Blimey it's already quite high. The UK QL it includes is nice but IMO not mint - e.g. it has slight wear on the mdv entrances etc. The boxed printer is probably the main attraction!

Collector of original and some newer QL related computers, accessories and software even though I don't understand how any of them work.
Original BBQL's: 3x German, 1x UK model (plus quite a bit of other old stuff)
Custom AT cased QL system with Gold Card, Qimi mouse, Hermes and MFM HDD
PC with QXLII card installed
Q68 also present

Ask me about near NOS re-felted good quality Microdrive Carts - many available.

It would be nice to have a separate topic with info about online auctions. I would have missed the boxed QL + printer if not mentioned in the 700E QL thread.
Now I will miss it because of the price ...
And God, I want a QL printer!

Andrew, did you get my email the other day (25th). Sometimes they end up in spam.

Drop RobHeaton a PM and request a new forum. That should work.

Cheers,
Norm.

Perhaps you could also move a couple of recent topics that are only to do with original QL related item prices to that new area?

Hmm...wouldn't the "For Sale" forum sort of cover that? It's not that active. Whether for sale by owner or pointing to an item for sale on eBay. I wonder if there could be a combined forum topic like "For Sale or Auction." Just thinking of how to trim things to keep it manageable.
