Re: QL Tinkering
Hi Qbits,
<<Je m'excuse d'avance si vous êtes déjà informé sur ce sujet et supposez que vous utilisez un clavier standard et MS Windows.>>
Your program uses ALTkeys which don't translate properly as far as I can tell...
Steve.

Hi All,
I’ve been out of the picture for a few months undergoing cancer treatment, but hopefully now on the mend.
I started checking out my QL bits and bobs and came across a program I put together in the early nineties.
The QL Format of 31/2 Disks at the time I believe was QL5A so this little utility QBITS_QL5A helped in
Discovering faulty sectors and possibly Recovery of DATA. Written in SuperBASIC.
Some may find it useful or just as interest in the code.

Re: QL Tinkering
Hi All
Thanks for your warm comments. It’s been a long haul and many months ahead. There have been some dark moment, but being generally a positive person I now finally feel I’m getting my mojo back.
In that light having taken a trawl amongst my QL brick a brack I found a copy of Giro Rescue by Henry Wrightson publish in the QL World in August 1989. That got me thinking of Dilwyn and his posting of Dino. Both use redrawn Character Fonts. Then I found some QBITS files, my attempts at a Font Editor. Well having the time I’ve spent the last week putting it all together testing it out and discovered a few interesting facts that might prompt further discussion if it hasn’t all been delt with in the past. So without further ado here is the QBITS QLFont Modifier plus an accompanying pdf. I’ve include the QLFonts1 & 2 and loadable QLFont1_0 and QLFont2_0 which contain the Giro_Font and Dino_Font respectively. Also included is a copy of Giro_Rescue.

Re: QL Tinkering
Looks good! One idea: Instead of the 0 and 1 I would prever a white filled rectangle for 1 and a black filled rectangle for 0. That makes it easier to examine the letter.

Hi,
Cristian thank always a Fan. RalfR you may have your request fulfilled sooner than you think.
Having discovered my original Font Editor notes and recovered some more file fragment I’ve had some success.
Not quite tested out yet but I post an image of the achievement so far.
