Re: Floppy Disk Drive Options?

Ben Versteeg in the Netherlands sells a cute little dual-drive set that works well with the GoldCard. https://www.bytedelight.com/?product=dual-floppydrive-set I use that myself and can recommend it. Note the drives are 1.44M type that might have problems (not experienced here) reading DD disks. DD...

Floppy Disk Drive Options?

Hello everyone

Now that I have my Gold Card up and working I was wondering where I would find a suitable disk drive for my QL?

Can anyone suggest any resources or recommend any particular source?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Miracle Systems Gold Card

The reason, why the diode and the resistor are soldered only at one end,is that they disconnected, and I don’t loose them. Just in case..... Ahh, I understand - the photo you sent me is of a modified board! That makes sense! Also, are the values for the diode and resistor going to be the same for a...

Re: Miracle Systems Gold Card

Hi, I have just remembered that there was a backplane for the QL called Qplaneqplane.jpg Which allowed connection of QL expansions and powered from an AT power supply. All expansions were required to be modified to run on 5v, which was mainly bridging the voltage regulator with a wire. Except for t...
