I had some similar problems with my classic GoldCard and HDD (1.4MB) PC drives.
In my system, with these commands in the boot, everything works correctly:
FLP_JIGGLE 1
FLP_DENSITY 'H'

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread
I have installed SMSQE 3.33 versión in my Q68 and I have obtained a different behavior in the "Initialize card 2 when booting" option (in Q68 config). The "Only if a drive is located there" value behaves differently than version 3.32. For FAT drive work properly in my card 2, I h...

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread
Yes, I used a PC with QPC2, all work fine.Peter wrote:Out of curiosity, what did you use on the other side? A PC with QPC?
PD:
But my tests with QemuLator/SMSQE on the PC did not work. I do not know the reason. (I checked the configuration of the COM ports in QmuLator and apparently it is correct).

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread
Connect two Q68, or one Q68 and one PC, with a normal PC nullmodem cable. Configure sernet_rext to correct receive/send names, e.g. SRX1id and STX1id, then try this: BAUD 115200 LRESPR sernet_rext SNET 1 SERNET On the other side the same, just a different station number, e.g. SNET 2 Then e.g. try D...

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread
What kind of serial port do you have on PC side? My PC motherboard has an integrated COM port (COM1). For typical usage like COPY or SERNET this was tested from PC to Q68, and should be no problem. I have never been able configure SERNET satisfactorily. Is there a tutorial (step by step type) about...

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread
Hi. Last week I've been testing serial interface with my Q68. The results have been very good, especially with Ser-USB, but I have some doubts in my data transfer tests between Q68 and PC. I report my expereinces separately, a) Ser-USB test and b) PC to Q68 transfer tests. a) Ser-USB test. The resul...

Re: Q68 New users and general usage thread
The SD content with print card_dir$ (1) is as follows I'm just guessing, but that FAT32 directory looks suspicious to me. You should only have files with 8.3 filenames in the toplevel directory. Maybe save the OS binary and the filesystem containers, reformat the SDHC card, and copy them back. What...

Re: Testing Tetroid backplane and GC
Yes, but keep in mind that ser1 and ser2 connections are different. I had to change the connections of the retrocomputershack adapter to connect my SerMouse through ser2_ port .Doug wrote:Would the RS232/serial cable sold by retrocomputershack work for that sort of setup?

Re: Testing Tetroid backplane and GC
Albin has given me permission to release SerMouse, but he doesn't find either the code or the manual. So if somebody could come up with the stuff it can be put online. I have a copy of SERMouse_rxt, V3.04. Cant find any documentations or anything. I think its just a leftover from my Aurora days. If...

That way, the result is correct! (Without errors).Peter wrote:What happens if you re-scale in 1024x768 first, and then change DISP_MODE?
Now work fine, when I change the windows size before disp_mode the error don't occur (when resizing from large resolutions to minors).
