I had some similar problems with my classic GoldCard and HDD (1.4MB) PC drives.

In my system, with these commands in the boot, everything works correctly:

Yes, but keep in mind that ser1 and ser2 connections are different. I had to change the connections of the retrocomputershack adapter to connect my SerMouse through ser2_ port .

Now work fine, when I change the windows size before disp_mode the error don't occur (when resizing from large resolutions to minors).
