Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)
Wasnt hard, anyone with a basic knowledge of C could have found I missed some mappings. As XorA knows, I did, but about 15 minutes after it was fixed :-) If no one else is planning to work on it, I'm happy to implement the first pass for Spanish keyboard support at the weekend, but I dont notice be...

Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)
Bit more fun for me as I will be building it for MAC (Intel and ARM) ! Unless any one has already done it? I think @XorA uses a mac for sQLux development? There are these instructions in the sQLux Readme: https://github.com/SinclairQL/sQLux?tab=readme-ov-file#building-macos @badaman I worked with X...

Re: BEEP
Hi, When adding the sound code for sQLux I realised that, despite what it says in the manual, the length of sound for a QL is not in units of 72 microseconds, for "simple" Beeps it is about 43.64 microseconds, although the time base can get longer if several of the optional Beep parameters...

Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)
Pity I haven't seen how the SQLUX shaders operate. Do they ray-trace for example ? _________________ Steve, I think what you are doing is different, but complimentary, to the sQLux shaders. The sQLux shaders perform an in place transformation on the whole QL screen. The output is then displayed ins...

Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)
Hi Folks, Following the various suggestions about getting Pixel colours, I have cobbled together a prototype shader for 3d perspective windowing. It works fine using the DIY Tk PIXEL% under SGC, but on QPC2 it does not seem to fathom out where in memory to look, and returns garbage values. (Screen ...

Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)
Hi, I updated my sQLux distro with the shaders options. Very nice work. Can the Shaders command defined in the "crt-pi.glsl" file, be used with a window within the main display, so a curved window could be defined? Hi Derek, I'm glad the shaders work for you :-) The shaders are designed t...

Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)
Some more info on the shaders update: This change enables optional support for OpenGL Shader Language (GLSL) shaders within sQLux. These shaders run on the GPU and introduce display artifacts similar to those seen when using a BBQL with a 1980s CRT monitor. Artifacts that can be emulated include: + ...

Re: sQLux v1.0 (The Xmas Turkey)
A smoke and nicotine option can be added if people want it
Seriously, I think these effects work best when in full screen mode (F11), and on lower QL screen resolutions. But, it does take me back to how my BBQL looked on my Microvitec CUB in the mid 80s

Re: RasPiQL
Can a USB drive do the same as USB to SATA though?. There are plenty of USB3 big storage external SSDs cheaper than internal SATAs but are they slower is the real question? Yes it can, but I think the key thing is that the Pi4 is picky when it comes to the USB3 to SATA chipsets that it supports. Yo...

Re: RasPiQL
I fully agree. This is from the feedback:Errrrrrr, check the negative feedback on that item
I opened the device to find a small sd card inside a reader. It formats to 64gm (half will not format). In no way is it a usbc 8tb ssd.
