That's great Jan!
Let's see who gets to it first

Re: New Minerva ROMs for Q68
Hello Jan! I've been playing with your Minerva4Q68 recently as we continue to develop the QL-Net driver for the Q68 (ND-Q68, already working under SMSQ) and wondered if you felt up to the task of re-assembling your patched Minerva to incorporate the 'I/O Fix' that Marcel added to Min v1.98. Effectiv...

Re: QL Network Protocol(s)
Hi Jason! Well, thanks to the help received from everyone here, I have now got my simple QL network file server working well enough for me to release the source code - it can be found at: https://github.com/dandelion-labs/QLAN This provides an inexpensive (~15 GBP) route to adding SD storage to the ...

Re: QL Network Protocol(s)
Hi again Jason! [Thanks for the correction to my earlier post - forever getting my PNPs and NPNs mixed-up! I've edited the earlier post accordingly.] So, the different OS platforms that can 'talk' QL/ZXNET broadly encompass: Vanilla QDOS (incl. Minerva for this discussion) QDOS + TK2 (just 'TK2', he...

Re: Hello & help needed with QL networking and TK2
Thanks for confirming, Marcel! Jason, coming back to your enquiry over the SCOUT: [quote jll74556]I've noticed that the scout appears to have some data encoded into it (some variation of the NET ID?), even though it appears to be completely ignored, however can this data be used to reliably differen...

Re: Hello & help needed with QL networking and TK2
Hi Marcel! And as far as I can see it doesn't demand a header on LOAD, or where have you seen that?Marcel We have seen it empirically when running (some versions of) TK2 - see below. My quick review of the latest TK2 source (from SMSQ v3.34) was sloppy - I realise now that only if the requested file...

Re: Hello & help needed with QL networking and TK2
Hi Norm!
It's always been on my to-do list - once I've completed the QLUB adapter project that embodies much of what I've learnt on the topic over the past few years...NormanDunbar wrote:Lots of good stuff here Gents, anyone fancy writing something for the Wiki? (https://qlwiki.qlforum.co.uk)

Re: Hello & help needed with QL networking and TK2
I'm using the Minerva 1.98 ROM that was provided by Tetroid's ROM switcher - I'm assuming it must be the unpatched version. That's likely - I don't believe the I/O Fix version of 1.98 was available when Tetroid was building his multi-ROM (I have one of those too - very handy device.) Nevertheless, ...
