Re: Intermittent floppy disk drive problems
Hi Georgeo - I haven't seen anything exactly like this with mine. Are you using DD or HD disks? Is there anything that might be interfering with the Trump card - yours is unshielded and basically unprotected like mine, isn't it? I got away from using the RF cable very quickly, I bought a QL-to-Scart...

Re: Suitable floppy drive(s) for a Trump-compatible card
As the floppy thread is a little active again, I thought I'd complete my end of it. I stuck the drives into an old aluminium 'JBOD' type disk enclosure. The enclosure used to drive a pair of 3.5" SATA drives, I looked at the PSU and it was providing plenty of grunt to drive the 2 floppies. I gu...

Re: Hello from Midlothian
Welcome! And in terms of where you're at with it, and what you have got and what you have done - we have an awful lot in common! I've recently got a modern Trump card clone (from the same Russian supplier no doubt), I've got it running with 2 external 3.5" drives, I've picked up a few books and...

Oooh, the SDHD card went fast.
Paul, if you ever come across another one of these, do let me know - I'd have had that in a heartbeat if I'd seen it (bad timing to be away with work!)
Cheers, Rob

Re: Flopper
Brilliant, I'll give that a try tomorrow - thank you!
Here's the link. It took about a week to come (ordered from the UK, the goodies are in China of course).

Re: Flopper
OK, I got one of those GoTek drives, the 720kB one, from China. It was cheap on eBay, I can provide a link if anyone is interested. I format the USB key using the ipcas software that everyone says you should use. I tell it I want 100x 720Kb floppies, and it appears to make them. Note that I understa...

Re: Redirect/reprogram a keypress?
Thanks Dilwyn, that's great, I appreciate your time keying all that in :-) For single keypresses you could reprogram F1 to F5 but these are commonly used in programs like Quill. As a matter of interest, how would I program a function key? I thought there might be an obvious SuperBASIC way of doing t...

Yeah, you're probably both right. I just hate the thought of opening it up again!

Re: Implement command history
(Though in true fashion, I was in the TK2 manual a little while ago looking for something else and discovered the ALT-ENTER function; while not exactly giving me a scrollable command history, it's certainly useful to be able to get the last command 'back' like that).
