Re: OPD: Computer One floppy interface recreation.
He obviously lost the board he was sent then. That's a different board layout to the one in the article on the RWAP web site too. Maybe the one on there was the issue 1. I'm guessing that it is one and the same Adder, not that that would be any real help. I never had the C1 board - the none working...

Re: QIMSI
Gah! My distypia strikes again! Sorry Dilwyn. I'm constantly transposing character in my postings and having to go back time and again to fix, even after re-reading.

OPD: Computer One floppy interface recreation.
As some of you may have seen I'm attempting to produce a recreation of the Computer One floppy interface for the One Per Desk/Tonto. The good: I've reverse engineered the schematic from the information on the RWAP web site. I've got the Mk.I PCBs arriving on Friday. I've got all the chips and other ...
Re: QIMSI
For those who have Trump Cards and need proper directories now that you have a large storage device, I can confirm that the version 2.19 ROM image on the Dilwyn archive works on the original hardware and gives you them.

Re: New microdrive internal replacement
You don't really need a PCB. My first version was a bit of vero board, a 14 pin socket and some bodge wires.

Re: New microdrive internal replacement
Another option (my prefer one that even I could try it), is to use one GPIO port (analog) to reproduce the sounds :) Directly to a speaker. So... no need more than one component (the speaker), the footprint and lines on the Board to make it easier for everyone, and to make some modifications on the...

Re: New microdrive internal replacement
All you need is an ATTiny85 and a way to switch its power on and off using an output from the Pico. In the case of the vDrive I used the activity LED power to switch a transistor. The speaker is directly connected to two of the pins on the ATTiny85. Hum... not so simple as I thought. I think, Noel ...

Re: New microdrive internal replacement
Side note: :) FPGA is a hardware emulator since it is not same than original. But... playing words and POVs. Just as much as a "NEC Z80" is a "hardware emulator" of a "Zilog Z80" because it's not the same than original? Well, if it were a "software defined process...
