Of c(o)urse I know that ncurses is newer than curses, but most ncurses calls are said to be easily portable to the old curses, which exists for C68.
What is the exact point in an ncurses port?

Re: LibVT
Probably stupid question, but did you include "ansicondef.h" in your source?

Re: Designing 3-D cases: vDrive & Q68
Ah now I understand. It is my prototype, which has an illuminated switch.bwinkel67 wrote:Oh, I see now, that green switch I thought was just a power light but you actually push it in.
As far as I know, Derek uses switches without illumination.

Re: Designing 3-D cases: vDrive & Q68
When you say the power switch, are you saying the plug on front left? No, the power switch is not on the board (and not even mandatory) but added via external wiring. For the standard Q68 case, it is located over the audio socket at the front panel. If moved elsewhere, the case could be more flat. ...

Re: Designing 3-D cases: vDrive & Q68
That said, I think I'll first try and see if I can create a Q68 case from scratch and give it some QL stylings. Sounds fantastic! I'd be happy to use such a case, especially if it contains two extra holes for QLNET jack sockets at the side, and "Q68" 3D letters like the "QL" let...

Re: Designing 3-D cases: vDrive & Q68
I also had a crazy idea of purchasing an empty QL case and seeing how to fit the Q68 within it. I think there should be enough room and using extenders for all the Q68 ports (even for the SD cards) you could get most QL ports filled. Then print some covers to make the backside panel of the QL confo...

Re: Beyond Super Gold Card
The entirety of my comment comes from one simple fact: the available 68k cores for use in FPGAs that are cycle-accurate and complete enough to run QL operating systems are limited to 68000 implementations, with no instruction or data cache and no 32-bit external accesses. Is there any point in cycl...

Re: Beyond Super Gold Card
Is there a possibility to use a physical CPU (eg: 68EC030 or 040?) with the non-68000 parts of the Q68 FPGA core? Technically, yes. Using a 68EC060 instead of the internal core was always an option I held open, in case debugging the FPGA CPU failed. With the pin shortage of a TQPF 144 package, that...

Re: Q68 Ethernet
So do you mean by that you do something like OPEN#3,ser3 which instead of using the RS232 port, it uses the Ethernet port instead. Then PRINT#3 and INPUT#3 to exchange data. SLIP is an encapsulation of TCP/IP designed to work over serial ports and router connections, it was a common standard before...

Re: Beyond Super Gold Card
With the hope that Peter perhaps can see some new perspectives for his projects, let me tell you a little about my own particular case, which is maybe too unique but still may reflect the individual interests and expectations of many other recent QL enthusiasts. Thanks, it surely contributes to get...
