Re: Discussion about connecting RASPI to QL
Anyway, if there are unused GPIO pins on the PI I would definitely fill them with address lines as far as possible. Your estimation is that the PI would be to slow to host the ROM Image you want to read by the QL? I am thinking about the possibilities of the PI like read/write to SD Cards or USB dis...

Re: Discussion about connecting RASPI to QL
This looks like the start signal for my GAL equations ;) About the CLK brought through to PI: I think its better to tell the PI what to do instead of having it decide things because of own analysis. about clk speed, i'd prefer to use one of the 16K "registers" for passing this info Having ...

Re: New QL backplane.
I'd like to have three PCB only and don't care about the hole size. A single manual (or download) will be sufficient. PayPal for friends is ok?

Re: Discussion about connecting RASPI to QL
I definitely prefer the 74LVX245 version. And I could try the GAL equations. But I am not very good at these.
This would be some practice for me.
Kind regards

Re: Using big ROMs on Q40
I would add two resistors between switch and 5V and between switch and 0V. Any value between 1K and 10K would be good. I have seen cheap switches that made short circuits while switching and catching fire at high amperes. If you just need a high or low level other than fixed on pcb (meaning using a ...
