Re: QL replica
The Qzero has dual SDRAM onboard, allowing more than 100% speed increase in 1024x768 highcolor mode over the Q68. A new Q68 could re-use this hardware, either by Qzero as a module (faster development) or an all-in-one PCB (cheaper). I diverted to the QIMSI project for a while. But if interest in th...

Another small tribute for the 40th Anniversary of the Sinclair QL: Interacting with an AI from a QL.
In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the Sinclair QL, I have been working on a small project: a program in SuperBASIC that allows basic interaction with OpenAI's artificial intelligence. I've called it QChatAI. The idea behind this project is simple: I wanted to explore how a classic technolo...

I personally just run the commandline TFTP Server on the Q68, and use the client on the PC.
Re: QL Net
Yes, I have setup QL NET over EtherNET, connecting Q68 to a Linux PC using WINE for QPC2 and Java for SMSQmulator, all work as Server or Client. I use Q68 ethernet with UDP, both SMSQmulator and directly with TFTP on Windows and Linux. Is there a step-by-step guide on how to connect Q68 (directly o...

Re: Breaking news: The QIMSI Interface
Great Peter! This is good news for the QL world, QIMSI will surely be very well received by all QL enthusiasts. (Thinking about the possible use cases of QIMSI, a question: In the future, would it be possible to implement a new faster and more reliable serial port accessible from QDOS (via a SER3_ f...

Re: International QL keyboard layouts
Hello Martin. Marel introduced support for the Spanish keyboard layout in the latest versions of SMSQ/E for QL. Now, both for the classic QL keyboard and for PC-type keyboards, the driver works correctly with all the peculiarities of the Spanish keyboard. Could that implementation possibly be helpfu...
